An Online Study for Adult Survivors

Survivors of child sexual abuse are invited to participate in a clinical research project that examines your experiences of child sexual abuse and related issues concerning that abuse. Your participation is completely voluntary, and this study will take about 30-40 minutes to complete. Most of the questions will be about your experiences of child sexual abuse, your memory of the events, and related issues. The results of this study should help to further our understanding of the effects of child sexual abuse on memory. This understanding will help researchers and therapists to develop more effective intervention programs to assist survivors of child sexual abuse.  The link to the study is http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/P7FB37C and will be available through July 2013 (approximately).

The research is being conducted by Molly Wolf, LMSW and Doctoral Candidate at the University of Buffalo School of Social Work, State University of New York. Her email address is mwolf3@buffalo.edu for questions or further information. Personal or identifying information is not a part of the study, and surveys are to be completed anonymously. Further information can be found using the survey link above.

One Billion Rising

One Billion Rising is just the beginning of the new world ignited by a new energy. It is not the end of our struggle but the escalation of it, and while we are all ready to shake the earth with our dancing on February 14th, we are asking everyone to make One Billion Rising more than just a single day of action.

The world is ready to shift and it begins with you. The One Billion revolution has started and with your pledge it will continue to grow.

One Billion Rising is only days away (February 14th). Lawless America joined by Stop the Silence

Child sexual abuse is a silent pandemic that takes place throughout the United States and the world… leaving a wake of social havoc in its path for children, adult survivors, and society. It can be treated, and it can be prevented with a conscious and sustained effort. Improvements on all societal and system fronts are needed to adequately address this complex issue. Stop the Silence: Stop Child Sexual Abuse, Inc. helps lead these efforts. Our founder, Pamela Pine, PhD, MPH, has three decades of global experience working on some of the world’s most difficult health and development issues, including child sexual abuse, on which she is a leader and recognized expert.

Stop the Silence is working to provide information, education, and outreach to help Lawless America push forward on raising awareness about child sexual abuse, educating millions, preventing child sexual abuse, and minimizing its aftermath through appropriate intervention on the psychological, medical, and policy (legal and judicial) fronts.

There is help and there is hope for victims, survivors, family, and friends having to deal with the aftermath of child sexual abuse. Read more about Lawless America
