and to help survivors heal

Child sexual abuse (CSA) is a silent epidemic throughout the United States and the world, creating social havoc for the children, adult survivors, and society. It can be prevented and it can be treated, but a conscious and sustained effort to ensure the safety of the children is both missing and essential.

Current happenings at Stop the Silence:

- Come join us on August 7, 2010 at the Eastern USA PowerLifting Championships (to benefit Stop the Silence). Doors open at 8am, lifting starts at 9am. To participate, contact Paul Bossi, 252-339-5025.  Spectators invited. Tickets at the door: Capital Sports Complex, 6417 Marlboro Pike, District Heights, MD 20747.

- Run in the Marine Corps Marathon 10K or full Marathon, or Baltimore half or full Marathon and raise funds for Stop the Silence. To register and for additional info, please contact Lesley Green at 703-989-9234, or Lesley@m-b-logistics.com

- Stop the Silence is currently recruiting for new Board members. Of particular interest is individuals with a business and/or financial backgrounds and netwroks.  Contact: ppine@stopcsa.org.

Stop the Silence, Inc., a non-profit, charitable 501(c)3 organization, works with individuals, community- and faith-based organizations, companies amd governmental organizations in various communities - locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally - to raise awareness and funds to comprehensively support and conduct programming.

Stop the Silence is pleased to be able to offer organizations a tested and available program to train various types of service providers about the realities of CSA, dealing sensitively with survivors, and CSA prevention.
