Child sexual abuse (CSA) is a silent epidemic throughout the United States and the world, creating social havoc - for the children, adult survivors, and society. It can be prevented and it can be treated, but a conscious and sustained effort is both missing and essential.
Raising funds for a focus on child sexual abuse and prevention is not easy. People have difficulty addressing it, talking about it, acknowledging that it happens. Few agencies are funding a primary focus on its prevention or its treatment. Help us make just a little dent in addressing a comprehensive program to prevent and treat child sexual abuse.
Stop the Silence is a non-profit organization working with individuals, companies, and community- and faith-based organizations in various states to raise awareness and funds to support programming, and provide technical assistance in the area of child sexual abuse prevention and treatment.
